I Belong

Posted by:

Welcome to a new month…the month of February…I love Februaries…a few things before my treatment that I felt were fun to share…..

In our Northern hemisphere it is Imbolc today (click here to see the great Substack below by “our” Julie Schmidt).

We are halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox in the Northern hemisphere….a sense of renewal and rebirth is at our “doorstep”.

(It’s Lughnasadh in the Southern hemisphere)

We have National Freedom Day/Black History Day which became Black History Month and yes there is room for much much healing….

And today it is Groundhog Day Eve and we get to decide to not repeat some “things” we are ready to be free of…

Oh, and it’s a Leap Year!

February comes from the latin word februa, which means “to cleanse”, named after Februalia, the Roman festival of purification.

So, i start with a quote by one of my longtime favorite authors: bell hooks.

“A generous heart is always open, always ready to receive our going and coming. In the midst of such love we need never fear abandonment. This is the most precious gift true love offers – the experience of knowing we always belong.”

As I take my next breath, I open to Its Infinite Possibility of cleansing and freedom.

I realize once again that this breath is the Breath of the Beloved in me.

This IS my belonging!

My heart opens wider than ever before.

Pure Grace is dwelling in me and I let It do what It does by means of me: It sets me free.

In the Oneness of All Life I now find the ease of letting go of whatever is in the way in me, whether I am aware of any of it or not.

I open to this Divine Grace and am freed of all old limitations.

If I am not feeling freed I allow it to become my superpower. Yep, my superpower!

Joy fills my heart, because I am tuned in to the miraculous.

I know it starts in my own mind, heart and soul and because they are SO aligned a free flow of creativity, inspiration and pleasure are mine to behold.

The beholding turns into my everyday experiences. I am made new.

Only gratitude and bliss are left to receive and I easily pass it on.

And So It Is & Shall Forever Be!
